He was predeceased by : his parents, Lloyd Burdell and Joy Forsyth Mecham of Hanksville, Utah.; and his great grandchild Justin James. He is survived by : his wife Deanna Curtis of Hanksville; his children, Karen McCoy of Oklahoma, Justin Mecham of Huntington, Michelle Lindsay (Dan'l) of Escalante and Mandy Smith (Randy) of Riverton; and his siblings, Jim Mecham (Deanna) of Moab, Jerry Mecham (Beth) of Cleveland, Karen Runia (John) of Draper and Melody Johnson (Doug) of Logan. He is also survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
