A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Heber City Cemetery (680 N 550 E, Heber City, UT 84032). Val provided tutoring to Chinese students both in-person and online; it is believed that during the early stages of the pandemic, he contracted Covid-19 from one of his students.
