He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold Hawkes and Goldie Hawkes; his wife Diana Kay Watkins; his children, Wendy, Sue, Keny and Pam (Spencer); and his grandchildren, Shaelynn, Talon, Spencer Jr. and Jonas.
Rick and Diana made the decision to donate his body to education, in the hopes that his struggle with Alzheimer's will benefit others through research.
