Nolleen Ann (Evans) Heaton 1943 - 2022
Nolleen Ann (Evans) Heaton, 79, passed away on October 5th, 2022 at her home in Hurricane, Utah in the company of her beloved husband. Our sweet Wife, Momma and Grammy has gone to meet her Father In Heaven and to be reunited with her parents, grandparents and one child; Shelly Lynne Thompson.
Nolleen was born on February 20th, 1943 to William Noel Evans and Donna Mae (Smirl) Evans at the Thomas Dee Hospital in Ogden City, Utah. She was reared and educated in both Ogden City and Taylor, Utah and attended Washington Elementary, West Weber Elementary, Walquist Jr. High and graduated from Weber High School.
She married Richard Hyrum Thompson in 1960. This marriage resulted in three beautiful children and the couple later divorced.
She married her eternal companion Paul Webb Heaton on May 13, 1983 in St. George, Utah. The marriage was solemnized a year later in the St. George, Utah Temple. With this marriage came three more beautiful children, which she took under her wing and raised as if they were her own.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings including the Young Women’s, Primary, Sunday School, Relief Society organizations and Ward Choir.
She was a ballet dancer and instructor and was an excellent seamstress, sewing many of the costumes for her students to perform full length ballets. She loved to sing and played the harp. She was a good friend and strove to love all she came in contact with. She had an entrepreneurial spirit and together with her husband owned and operated the Jordanelle Reception Center, where they provided wedding reception and banquet services for newlyweds and various other groups. She was also a make-over consultant and worked at an antique store. She loved children and joyfully operated a daycare in her home for many years.
She loved the outdoors and was active in fishing, camping and hunting in her early years and loved to travel, go on scenic rides and appreciated God’s creations; both in living creatures and in the wonders of His landscapes.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one child. She is survived by her brother, Gordon Noel (Joyce) Evans, her children Tina Ann (Gregg) Allred, Richard Scott (Jennifer) Thompson, James Paul (Christie) Heaton, Kimberly Sue (Mike Christensen) Thompson, Daniel Linden (Tova) Heaton, Heather (Ryan) Taylor. Also her grandchildren Charity Ann Judkins, Jason Allred, Kelley Allred, Tracy Allred, Lindsay (Corby) Favatella, Whitney Handley, Kent Thompson, Shane Thompson, Shawn Thompson, Jenica Heaton, Breanne Heaton, Trevor Heaton, LeAnna (Tye) Brookshire, Kaylie DeStefano, Trycen Heaton, Casidi Heaton, Tanner Heaton, Madison (Mitchell) Egbert, Katelin Taylor, Alisa Taylor, Zackery Taylor, Brylee Taylor and her Great-grandchildren Andrew Allred, Abbey Allred, Jason Allred Jr., Lily Allred, Maya Allred, Paige Brookshire, Charlie Brookshire and Boston Ward
The family would like to deeply thank the beautiful people at Dixie Hospice, Like Family Home Care and the Hurricane 7th Ward Relief Society and members for their loving service to Nolleen and Paul Heaton.
A visitation for friends and acquaintances will be held on October 14, 2022 at 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm at the Hurricane Seventh LDS Ward 155 East 1050 North Hurricane, Utah. A visitation for family will take place at 1:30 pm. Funeral services will be held beginning at 2:00 pm, with interment at the Hurricane City Cemetery located at 225 E. 600 N. Hurricane, Utah following the services.
