She was predeceased by : her parents, Melvin William and Emmeline Chatterton McKay; her sons, Jacob and Devon Thomas; and her siblings, Clynn, Merlin and Roselle Checketts.
She is survived by : her daughters, Laurie Waite Flores of Hau'ula and Maria Mahana Nobre of Mountain View, Hawaii.. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
