He was predeceased by : his parents, Dallas Elwood and Laura Robbins Elwood; his wife Lucile Lamb Elwood; his brother Arlo Elwood; and his mother-in-law Helen C. Lamb.

He is survived by : his children, Rodney Elwood (Kerry), Robert Elwood (Stephanie), Renee Elwood (Randall), Raelyn Burnett (Darren) and Rebecca Fairbanks (Michael); and his brother Dean Elwood. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
