He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Steffel and Stanley Peterson Wheeler; and his brother Ralph Wheeler. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Stewart Wheeler; his children, Julie Merkley, Lauri Wheeler, Charity Bruce, Emily Allen, James Wheeler and Darren Lott; and his siblings, Myra Heaton, Susan Smith and Bill Wheeler.
