She was predeceased by: her parents, Marjorie Akelund (Albert Lee Wilkins) and Alfonso Pete Akelund; and her siblings, Willis Akelund, Shirley Barnett, Tonna Shiflett and LaRaine Murray.
She is survived by: her daughters, ReAnn Sessions (Danny) of Jensen and Jana Gates (Jim) of Dinosaur, CO.; and her grandchildren, Danette Brooks, Bodee Sessions, Mandi Gabbitas and Mike Gates. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
