John Kent left this world on May 2, 2025 at the age of 76, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford John Smeding and Ellen Rose Dutson; his sisters, Diane Smeding, Sharon Hislop and Kathy Petersen; and his daughter Summer.
He is survived by: his wife Marisa Smeding; his children, Paul Smeding, Chris Smeding, Brian Smeding, Shauna Broome, Courtney Tyler Kendell, Patrick Kendell (Megan), Candice Smith, Sarah Prisbrey (Dave), Ryan Smeding (Alicia) and Nathan Smeding (Kaylee); and his siblings, Pam, Pat, Susan and Scott. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM and on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Kaysville Crestwood Stake Center (855 E Mutton Hollow Rd, Kaysville, UT 84037). Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stake Center. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kaysville Crestwood Stake Center (855 E Mutton Hollow Rd, Kaysville, UT 84037).
