With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of LaVar Gene Peterson of Kaysville, Utah, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 22, 2025 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lavar Peterson and Joye Peterson; his sisters, Ann and Cheryl; his daughter Susan; and his daughter-in-law Margie Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Trudee Sprague Peterson; his children, Trish (Nate), Kirk (Jen), Brock (Jill), Davin (Kara), Travis and Chris (Brooklyn); and his sister Judy (Val). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Chapel (1085 N 50 E, Kaysville, UT 84037).
