Though Melvin may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Melvin leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin LaVar Christoffersen Sr. and Klea Mae Nielsen. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Jones Christoffersen; his children, Melanie Gardner (Mike), Connie Rogers (Bret), John Christoffersen (Wendee), Jeremy Christoffersen (Nicole) and Leslie Gurr (Steve); and his siblings, Gregg Christoffersen (Nancy) and Tami Williams (Mike). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
