It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolea Riley Nielsen of Layton, Utah, who passed away on December 30, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Riley and Althera Stewart Riley; her husband Kenneth Nielsen; her in-laws, Nephi Nielsen and Lillian Ames Nielsen; her brother Marvin; her sister-in-law Joyce Amundsen; her siblings, Merna, Reed Nielsen, Mardell, Joan Nielsen and Bob Hendricks; her children, Michael Nielsen and Dana Orton Thornock Rasmussen; and her sons-in-law, Nyle Thornock and David Ingram.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Jerry Hendricks; her cousins, Sally Barton and Janet Mower; her son-in-law Martin Rasmussen; Celeste Wilson (Steve), Mark Nielsen, Colette Ingram and Caroline Earl (Chris). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
