We are sad to announce that on July 20, 2025, at the age of 13, Champ Melax Martinez (Layton, Utah), born in Ogden, Utah passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his great-grandparents, Emma, Melax Martinez, Ofelia Bravo, Ida and Rueben Martinez; and his aunts and uncles, Michael Martinez, Tommy Martinez, Mark Martinez, Helen, Patsy and Becky Esquivel.
He is survived by: his friend Jesus; his parents, Orlando Martinez and Lori Martinez; his siblings, Jalen Martinez and Kayla Emma Martinez; and his grandparents, Abe Martinez, Carolina Bravo, Allan, Becky Ormond, Marcella and Andy Esquivel. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary (1867 N Fairfield Rd, Layton, UT 84041). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church (210 Chapel St, Layton, UT 84041).
