Charles Riley Miller Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Riley Miller of Layton, Utah, who passed away on March 19, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Miller and Bessie Miller; and his siblings, Ann Meek, Melvin Miller and Gary Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Taylor (late Marv), John Miller (Verlyn), Glen Miller (Brenda), Bruce Miller (Sheila) and Heidi Carroll (Scott); his sister Jane Baldwin (David Moench); Craig Miller (Shelly). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
In 1986, Charles was nominated for and won the National Science Foundation's Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.
