He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Lamar and Norma Lufkin Burke; his brother Marlin; and his brother-in-law Richard Dennis. He is survived by: his children, Louis Burke (Kim), Lani Whitlock (Roger), Joseph Burke (Shelley), Heidi Muirbrook (Travis), Jennifer Skidmore (Ryan), Travis Burke (Sarah) and Ronda Mills (Nathaniel); and his siblings, Morris Burke (Meria), Steve Burke (Sandra) and LaRue Dennis. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Leavitt's Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park (836 36th St, Ogden, UT 84403). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026.
