We announce the death of John Vance Welge of Layton, Utah, who passed away on June 25, 2026, at the age of 87. John Vance will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Welge Sr. and Annie Katherine Kunz Welge; his grandparents, John and Mamie; and his siblings, Bill Jr., Albert, Mildred, Margaret and Katharina.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ann Kartman (Southern University) of Illinois; his sister Dorothy Kaiser of Walterboro; his children, Michael Welge (Heidi), David Welge (Carlina) and Kirsten Lemmon (Brandon); his grandchildren, Alison, Colin, Erik, Justin and Daniel; Nancy Welge (Kartman).
