He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughters, Shelby Ann Pettit Butler of Roy and Kiley Jeaneane Pettit Orton (Jordan James Orton) of Roy, Utah.; his grandchildren, Rylee Butler, Bentley Butler, Easton Butler, Nicko Pettit, Carter Orton and Weston Orton; his father Ralph Eric Pettit (Elaine Pettit); his siblings, Mary Ann Pettit Nelson of Layton, Judy Pettit Loveland of Kaysville, Christine Pettit Keeler of Midway, Ralph Pettit of Clearfield, Jim Pettit of Safford Arizona, Vera Pettit Wright, Heather Lyman Pettit of Farmington and Shawnette Page of Farmington; his mother Mary Jane Pettit; Mary Jane Edwards Pettit. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary (1867 N Fairfield Rd, Layton, UT 84041). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
