Leone Winegar Duerden Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leone Winegar Duerden (Layton, Utah), who passed away on March 27, 2026 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wesley Winegar and Irene Matilda Hansen Winegar; her close friend Jay Verle Duerden (Temple); and her sons, William Richard Duerden and David Charles Duerden.
She is survived by: her brother Dee Winegar (Torma); and her children, Verle Duerden (Regan), Parma Routson (Leonard), Maxine Christensen (Kris), Diana Johnson (Scott), Douglas Duerden (Julie) and Donna Ames (Jon). She is also survived by 41 grandchildren and 74 great-grandchildren, and her first great-great-grandchild.
Whether serving in her home, her ward, or her community, she exemplified charity, the pure love of Christ.
