With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marge Helen Lofgran (Layton, Utah), born in Eureka, Utah, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Marge Helen left this world on June 19, 2025 at the age of 98, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Stanley Gilson and Helen Verda York Gilson; her husbands, O. Ken Worthen and Curtis Alma Lofgran; and her children, Terri Jo Brown and Gary Ken Worthen.
She is survived by: her children, Diane (Bill), Lange and Kelly Dean Worthen; and her caregiver Jamie. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary (1867 N Fairfield Rd, Layton, UT 84041). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
During her time at the IRS, Marge received several awards and accolades, including the exclusive Secretary's Award from the Secretary of the U.S. Treasury, William E. Simon, in appreciation for her contributions to the effective and efficient operation of the Department of the Treasury.
