He was predeceased by: his mother Susan Duarte; his stepfather Richard Duarte; his parents-in-law, Lamar and Julene Ashby; and his grandchildren, William and Olivia Reeder.
He is survived by: his grandfather Harold Marvin Whetstone; his wife Balinda Ashby; his children, Jamie Reeder (Dave), Jacob Whetstone (Sara), Kari Parker (Matt), Kellen Whetstone (Mekayla), Lesha Atkinson (Jeff) and Landon Whetstone (Sara); his father Everett Earnest Whetstone; and his siblings, Carol Allen, Deborah Jones (Mark), Candy Morris, Cindy Urch, Judy Hayes and Richard Duarte.
