It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sam J Junk Jr. in Layton, Utah, born in Ogden, Utah, who passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Sam has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He is survived by: his wife Grace Dick; his children, Mike Junk (Kathy), Jill Smith and Julie Ferreira (Brad); his stepchildren, Steve Dickson (Julie), Keith Dickson (Carrie) and Pamela Renee; and his siblings, Jeannine Moyle and Bill Junk (Jan). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
