Terry Ashman Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on January 24, 2026, at the age of 88, Terry Ashman (Layton, Utah) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Merlin and Lyal Nelson Ashman; his siblings, Merlin Gerry Ashman and Margaret Kay Christensen; and his grandson William Shedden.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Sophie; and his children, Jeffrey Ashman (Cathy), Layton, Jan Smith, Jon Ashman (Kristin), Jennifer Hughes (Tony), Julie Carpenter (William), James Ashman (Karen), Jeanene Shedden (Chris) and Joanne Wessel (Nate).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the missionary fund for Terry's grandson Elder Jacob Shedden, who began his service a few days before Terry's passing. Donations can be made by visiting the Church website donation page, selecting "missionary from another ward," and entering unit "160318" (Emerald Ward).
