She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Roscoe Herman Gardner and Monta Clark; her children, Miki Rae (Clint M. Hunter), Janae (Thomas H. Pettit, Jr.), Tracy Thayne (Kristin Boyenger) and Yvette (Mark A. May); her husband Thayne Leon Ward; her former husband Shirley S. Davis; and her brothers, Clark R. Gardner (Wendy) and Samuel D. Gardner (Konnie). She was also cherished by 21 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
