He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Everett, Nellie Kunz, John A. Askew and Idelle Askew; his father John D. Askew; and his sisters, Amy Bishop and Julie Askew.

He is survived by: his father Lael Askew; his wife Kristi Taylor; his children, Clara, Eddie and Henry; and his siblings, Scott, Carol Askew, Charles, Traci Askew, Jane and Gary Denning. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as loving cousins and friends.
