He is survived by: his wife Tami Patterson; his children, Stephanie Whitaker, Christy Bates and Jack Patterson; and his son-in-law Jesse Bates. He is also survived by grandchildren and two precious great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Camp Williams Veterans Memorial Cemetery (17800 S Redwood Rd, Bluffdale, UT 84045).
