He was predeceased by: his parents, Vern Luis and Leah Vernice Barnhart Curtis; his siblings, Ronald Jay, Deon, Janae and Vonda; and his grandson Justin Kohler.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Nokes; his children, Jana Curtis, Tricia Price (Scott), Sheena Wilson (Shaun), Tyson Curtis (Ceri) and Hollie McKinney (Joel); and his sisters, Gaylene Baxter and Andrea Farnsworth. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
