He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hawks and Hazel May Hawks (Jessen); his wife Nancy Lee; and his siblings, Robert, Jerald Hawks and Virginia Johnston.

He is survived by: his siblings, Glenn Hawks and Kay Edwards; and his children, Jack Hawks (Sara) of Prescott, Julie Bosquet (Darrin) of Brookline, Glenda Walker (Hans) of Anaheim and Sherrie Yorgason of Goodyear, Arizona.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
