He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Shannon, Jr. and Marjorie Ellen Barnes; and his brothers, Tim and Leonard. He is survived by: his children, Merrilee Shannon (Kent Reed) of Amy, RJ, Amy Hurst (Dave), RJ Shannon (Eiko), Matt Shannon (Lena), Riley Shannon (McKenna), Sheridan Mullen (Nathan), Kyle Shannon (Kase) and Ryan Jones (Brennen); and his siblings, Debra Wortman and Dennis Shannon. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the LDS Chapel (2030 W Chapel Ridge Rd, Lehi, UT 84043).
In 1983, Mick co-founded Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, a national children's charity that has since raised over $9 billion for children's healthcare.
