He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Bentley and Afton Bentley; his daughter Diana Bentley; his grandsons, Curtis Hunting and Andrew Evans; his great grandchild Joseph Marchant; and his siblings, Wayne Bentley and Roma Horlacher.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Bentley; and his children, Robert Bentley (Kathy), Rodney Bentley (Mary Ellen), Donald Bentley (Ronda), Juliann Marchant (Evan) and Janet Evans (Ron). He is also survived by 36 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
