He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Bates; his children, Dan Bates, Kerry Coe (Jason), Chris Bates (Kemy) and Mary Ann Butikofer (Sam); his grandchildren, Britton Coe (Trudy), Gavin Coe (Madison) and Addisyn Coe; and his siblings-in-law, Earlene Durrant, Guyna Ogata, Sheila Iversen and Scott Durrant. He is also survived by niece and nephews.
