He was predeceased by: his parents, VeDell Hatch and Ruby Ipson Hatch; his stepmother Carol Johnson Hatch; and his brother Lenard. He is survived by: his siblings, Charles Hatch, Jay and Rosetta; his wife Shauna Norton; and his children, Amanda Rowley (Josh), Jerson Hatch, Shalona Barney (Travis), Jocelyn Soderstrom (Adam), Sabrina Johnson (Scott), Aaron Hatch and Kylee Hatch.
His last years of productivity were cut short by Alzheimer's. In 2021, they moved to West Mountain to share a home with Shalona's family, as well as his brother Charles.
