He was predeceased by : his parents, John Newton and Marie Sanderson. He is survived by : his wife Joan Newton; his son Paul Mark Newton (Veronique); and his stepchildren, Eileen, Kevin, Lynn and Clive. He is also survived by extended families, friends.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Grove Creek Assisted Living (175 N State St, Lindon, UT 84042).
