It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Wright (Lindon, Utah), who passed away on July 12, 2024, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Allan Wright; his son Jonathan; and his father-in-law John Pratt. He is survived by: his mother Marvada Wright; his wife Mary; his daughter-in-law Sara; his children, Emilie (Tracy), Alyssa (Zach), Kim (Eric), Ben (Jake), Spencer (Beck), Becca (Dustyn) and Jacob (Tae); his siblings, Janet (Brad), Allan (Jana), Jim (Mark), Sharon (Kenny) and Nancy (Scott); his mother-in-law Marjorie Pratt; and also, Becky (Keith), John (Ginger), Debbie (Brian), Elena (Steve), Michael (Stacia), Paul (Michelle), Charity (Dave), Peter (Misty), Jimmy (Makenna), Genni (Jay), Emilie (Nick) and J. T.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews, and dear friends.

After his retirement, John was very touched when SALALM granted him honorary membership in recognition of his exceptional leadership and significant contributions to Latin American Studies librarianship throughout his career.
