He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank and Dorothy McBride. He is survived by: his wife Pat McBride; his children, Chad McBride (Pam), Jeremy McBride (Angie), Josh McBride (Larkin), Stan McBride (Jenny), Gina McBride (Allen), Michael Hilliard, Chris Hilliard (Jessica), Tim Hilliard, Karri McClure and Kelli Stephens (Luke); and his sister Gayle Young (Walt). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Among his proudest personal accomplishments were his contributions to the Boy Scouts of America, particularly through the Wood Badge program, where he mentored and influenced countless youth and adult leaders.
