He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Bennett and Norma Ellery Bennett; his grandson Bennett J Pella; and his siblings, Val, Wendall, Scott, Floyd, Connie and Dorothy.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Jay Bennett (AnnMarie), Jan Preslar (Joe) and Susanne Hansen; his brother Ellery Bennett (Le Anne); and his siblings-in-law, Glen Bouy, Marilyn Bennett and Marie Bennett-Warner. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
