He is survived by: his sons, Barney Sanford (Sheri) and Curtis Newton; his grandchildren, Kristina, Kimberly, Shauntae, Gavin and Chase; and his stepchildren, Richard, Paul, David, Shelley and Daniel. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
