He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Virginia Smith Auwen and Kenneth D. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Joy Johnson Smith; his children, Ryan Smith, Tia Smith and Thomas Smith; his daughters-in-law, Nicole Smith and Jennifer Smith; his grandchildren, Evangeline, Camille, Grayson and Finley; his sister Sharron Hall; and his brother-in-law Stephen Hall. He is also survived by many other in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
