He was predeceased by: his mother Gladys Winnifred Willford Thornley; his wife Joy Irene Irish; and his brother William Robert Thornley. He is survived by: his father William Clark Thornley; his children, Diann Read (Jon), Janis Lapides (Richard), David (Cheryl Leyh), Phyllis Gibson (Buddy), Ruthann DeMille (David), Paul (Liesl Norton) and Sharon Schnell (Ken); his great grandchild Navajo; and his son Victor Mannie. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren.
