He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard William and Afton Carter Durrant; his wife Velma; and his children, Kim Granger (Lance), Douglas Durrant, Scott Durrant (Michelle) and Jill Durrant. He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
