He is survived by: his wife Joyce Peterson; his pet Jeep; his children, Ricky Carlson (Dianne), Melanie Elizabeth Carlson and Melissa Thorson (Darin); his daughter-in-law Maree Carlson; his grandchildren, Brandon Carlson (Jacqueline), Tim Carlson (Erica), Chris Carlson (Julia), Connor Carlson (Valerie), Ashley Burnside (Mckay), Aubrey Valverde (Adrian), James, John Carlson, Andrew Carlson, Joshua Thorson and Katelyn Thorson; and his great grandchildren, Noah Carlson and Sadie Carlson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gillies Funeral Chapel (634 E 200 S, Brigham City, UT 84302). A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Logan City Cemetery (1000 N 1200 E, Logan, UT 84321).
