He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Sperry Chappell and Lydia Okerlund Chappell; and his siblings, Todd Chappell, Elsie Bagley, Helen Taylor and Kathleen Larsen.
He is survived by: his children, Roger Chappell (Effie), Pam Perry (Steve), Lori Syme (Rick) and Scott Chappell (Cassie); his wife Ardeen Davenport; and his brother Rulon Chappell of St. Paul, Minnesota.. He is also survived by his children and their spouses; his grandchildren; his great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Lyman LDS Ward Chapel (200 S Main St, Lyman, UT 84749). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the Lyman Cemetery (800 S Lyman Cemetery Rd, Lyman, UT 84749).
