Eric Cottam left this world on June 10, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As Eric Cottam departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Eric Cottam. Though Eric Cottam may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladen Gubler Dalton and Grace Cottam; and his sons, Eric Jr. and Jonathan. He is survived by: his wife Claudia Yvonne Nielsen; his children, Shareen Halliday (Mark), Coreli Ordakowski (Mark) and Troy Dalton; and his brother Doug Dalton (Arlene). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the LDS Church-Mapleton (825 E Hawks Rst Dr, Mapleton, UT 84664).
