He is survived by: his sisters, Saundra Aker and Margaret Hannuksela; his wife Sharon; and his children, Richard (Diana), Robert (Lynette), Marvin (Allison), Russell (Chelsea), Virginia (Jason), Sarah (David), Kristin (Shawn) and Benjamin (Monica). He is also survived by 32 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was recognized by the Utah State Legislature for his distinguished contributions to the preservation and celebration of Utah's pioneer history.
