He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Harris Pond and Valeria Laird Taggart; and his brother James. He is survived by: his children, Quetzal Chacon (Josephina), Kevin Pond, Philomena Parry (Brad), Rex (Julie), Kelly (Marcie), Derle (Ginger), Jennifer Ashworth (Wade), Lynette Brown (Chris) and Ryan (Becca); his close friend Kathryn Pond; his brother Martin Taggart Pond (Indianna) of West Lafayette; and his brother-in-law Archie Jerald Maughan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM and at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Fund, or to Catholic Charities.
