We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2026, at the age of 95, Marilyn Ruth Nielsen Spence Vidmar (Midvale, Utah) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Marilyn farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Marilyn is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Niels Bjarne Nielsen and Lillian Irene Johnson Nielsen; her former husband John C. Spence; and her husband John Vidmar. She is survived by: her children, Kathy Spence, Vicki Stith (Joseph) and John Spence (Melanie). She is also survived by six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Viewing was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Goff Mortuary (8090 S State St, Midvale, UT 84047). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
