He was predeceased by: his parents, Clea Dansie and Melvin Herman Simonson. He is survived by: his wife Jauna; his daughter Cindy Brown (Virgil); his stepson Scott Routh (Carisa); his sisters, Colleen McArthur and Linda Cherrington (Jim); and his grandchildren, Kayla and Brayden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Goff Mortuary (8090 S State St, Midvale, UT 84047). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
