He was predeceased by: his parents, Pawnee Gay and Mack Pool. He is survived by: his sons, David (Shellece) and Buck (Mariana); his grandchildren, Connor, Charlie, Zoë, Garrett, Kedric, Thomás and Lucas; and his great grandchildren, Finn, Maisey and Wesley.

In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to the Humane Society of Northern Utah.
