He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Orson and Frances McCotter; his wife Kathy Jeppesen; his son Monte; and his siblings, Marilyn Cavanaugh and Lynn McCotter.
He is survived by: his children, Felicia Tafuri (Ralph), Heidi Pugmire (Steve), Tate McCotter (Stacee) and Cade McCotter (Ashley); and his siblings, Nancy Belcher (Gary), Steve McCotter (Becky) and Suzan Loftin (Steve). He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
