He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert Leroy and Effie Rose Hayward Hoffman; and his siblings, Glenn, Elaine, Albert Blaine, Roy, Larry Kay and Sherlene Joy (Nilda).

He is survived by : his wife Nilda "Nellie" Mae Longhurst; and his sons, Neil (Chris) and Kent (Juli). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
