It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnne Francis Thackeray (Morgan, Utah), who passed away on October 22, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Turner Francis and Mildred Coulam; her husband Samuel; her son Thomas; her grandson Seth; and her sister Charlene.

She is survived by: her sons, Royal and Robert (Heidi); her daughter-in-law Heidi; her children, Todd (Lorillee), AnnaMarie Whitlock (Boyd), Samuel (Jennifer), David (Jodi), Joseph (Mindee), Emily Watt (Guy), Annie and Andrew (Tara); her sisters, Lucille Ulrich and Gloria Francis; and her brother-in-law Paul Dickson (late Ramona). She is also survived by 47 grandchildren with one on the way and 12 great-grandchildren.

“I wish to extend my condolences to the family of JoAnne Francis Thackeray. We were close cousins and had a lot of good times together. I spent a summer with the family to work on the Bear River Ranch. I loved the Francis family and will miss JoAnne very much. My wife, Gerri, and I were able to visit with her last year. I am so glad we were able to see her then. She is a wonderful person. You have been blessed to be associated with her as mother, grandmother, great and sister. Paul Wolz”
